• Individual Therapy

In the end, when we look at our life, the questions will be simple: Did I live fully? Did I love well?

    Individual Therapy

I have 20+ years of experience as a psychotherapist helping people who want to find a way through their current pain so they can live more satisfying and enriching lives. I particularly work with people who are

    • coping with the impact of growing up with an alcoholic, mentally ill, or narcissistic family member
    • high achievers who feel lonely, overwhelmed and anxious despite outward success
    • struggling to find or sustain intimate relationships, or are unsure about their current relationship.
    • experiencing stress, burnout and or are easily overwhelmed due to high sensitivity
    • having a tough time having compassion for themselves, possibly due to childhood emotional neglect
    • people who are going through a coming out process

    How I Work

My style of working is depth-oriented and relational, which means that I want to help you address the underlying cause of your current struggles. We will pay attention to how old and unconscious beliefs show up in your current life and show up right in the moment in therapy, giving us a chance to do it differently so you can have a different outcome. I believe that “when you can feel it, you can heal it”.

My work with clients is also influenced by mindfulness-based approaches, psychoanalytic therory, the latest neuroscience, and Internal Family Systems.  I meet with people at least once weekly for 50-minute sessions.

My practice reflects a wide range of identities and social locations. As a therapist who holds white and cis privilege, I am committed to ongoing exploration, awareness, and accountability around how that privilege may show up in therapy. Together we will interrogate the ways the cultural context infulences the issues you are experiencing at a personal level.
